Blogging can make you money if you follow a system that will be revealed to you in this post. As always we want our Publishers to succeed with their online endeavors so hopefully you’ll get something out of this post. This post is intentionally written for those that are just starting out with their internet business but even if you’re a seasoned blogger you may learn a thing or two.
Follow these 8 steps to start making money with your blog:
Step 1. Pick a topic. What do you want to blog about? For the purpose of this post let’s assume you want to blog about soccer. Soccer is an international sport with plenty to write about so let’s narrow it down a bit. This narrowing down allows you to focus on only one aspect of soccer. For example, you could pick a pro team like Real Madrid and blog about their games. Or, you could blog about how to be a better soccer mom, etc. The possibilities are endless so just pick one and run with it. Make sure it’s something you’re interested in and passionate about so you don’t lose interest down the road.
Step 2. Keyword research. Using the Google Keyword Planner Tool you will be able to find a whole list of keywords that you can use to blog about. Additionally we recommend using Market Samurai to get down into the weeds and really understand what your competitors are doing to rank their sites. This step is very frustrating for Newbies so I’ve made a video explaining how to do this. Watch it here:
Step 3. Content creation. Content i.e. articles that will be placed on your blog can be created by you or if you prefer you can outsource it. The best content creation on the web that we recommend using is iWriter. They have a whole list of great writers that are more than willing to take on your projects. In this step you will use the keywords from Step 2 to begin your blogging.
Step 4. Blogging Platform. You could buy your own hosting and use a WordPress template to begin blogging but we highly recommend the Viral Blogging System (VBS) which cost $25.00/month. The reason why we recommend VBS is because this platform already has authority in the blogging world. Authority means that Google recognizes the VBS platform as a source of valuable information and will show it first to its millions of avid searchers. If for whatever reason you decide not to use VBS then you can choose to use Bluehost for hosting and use a free version of WordPress to get started.
Step 5. Get Traffic. Each blog post matters and in order to get traffic to your blog posts you have to be very systematic in your approach. We recommend buying a $5.00 gig on Fiverr.com. Depending on who you choose they can send your blog post to 1000’s of different sites and also create a video of your blog post. We also recommend buying a Fiverr gig to create a Podcast of your blog post and submit it to several podcast websites. Next we recommend submitting your blog post and joining Social Buzz Club. This is a fantastic website that can generate a lot of traffic to your site. Additionally we recommend sending your post automatically to Facebook and Twitter. Doing the above tasks will generate traffic to your site but how do you know how much traffic is coming to your site and from where? To determine and track your traffic we recommend that you install Google Analytics on your site.
Step 6. Blog everyday. This may seem like a very big task if you’re creating all the content but if you outsource this task it could cost about $300/month for 30 well written articles. In order to offset this cost, you can ask guest bloggers to blog on your site. This usually involves reciprocation with you guest blogging on their site. Ask me if you want me to guest blog on your site…:)
Step 7. Blog submissions. You can submit your blog posts to sites like eZine and IBOToolBox. Make sure that if you do this you have really great call to actions at the end of each blog post. For example, “To read more about how to become a better Soccer Mom, visit http://www.soccermint.com ” In this example, the word visit is considered the call to action or the instruction you are giving to your readers.

Step 8. Use AdShareMarket. Now that you have a lot of organic traffic coming to your site you can sign up as a Publisher with AdShareMarket and start selling your banner space. We recommend having banner space above the fold (this means your visitors do not need to scroll down to see the banner) on each page of your blog. The banners sizes that work best are 300×250, 728×90, and 160×600. Depending on how much traffic you have coming to your site we recommend charging about $1.00/day for someone to rent out your banner space
