Huawei Y550
Huawei has now become the biggest threat for the competitors in Pakistan and relentlessly capturing its market share with charming devices. The company recently comes with a bang as it releases a brand new 4G LTE enabled Huawei Ascend Y550 —and that is only in Rs. 17, 499.
The handset is introduced by Zong which is giving away free 6 GB 4G LTE data for three months. This type of crazy offer will massively affect the overall dynamics of the market. And most likely will push other brands to come up with cheap 4G handsets amid competition.
The handset has quad core 1.2 GHz quad core processor with the support of 1 GB RAM. There’s KitKat support as operating system while 4 GB internally memory on the go. For fulfilling picture taking craze, it has 5 megapixels camera on the back while 2 megapixels on the front.
It has the same Emotion UI 2.3 UI for KitKat integration having no separate button for apps on the interface. It is energized by Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery.
It is one of the cheapest 4G handsets in Pakistan and will certainly attract the customers as 4G has been introduced by couple of operators.
Competitors:
Huawei Honor 3C Lite which was introduced by the company a month ago is of the same price but it is the 3G handset. Although 3C Lite has 5 inches display size which can be more lucrative in utilizing data.
Huawei is mixing up things little bit as offering 4G in 4.5 inches handset might not be that good idea as phablets are becoming more popular than 4.5 or lower sized screen smartphones.
Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime have also the potential to become a rival of it as it is selfie oriented and presents decent specs in budget price. But the 4G version of Grand prime is currently not available in Pakistan.
Recent launch of Warid 4G LTE services and the official launch of iPhone 6 has opened new horizons for the competitors. Before this, only QMobile seemed to carry the hard core marketing but Samsung and Huawei are also embarking upon proliferating theiradvertisement campaigns.
