Samsung's curved Galaxy S6 is coming on March 1
Samsung has begun sending out invites for its press event ahead of the next big tech convention, Mobile World Congress, where the firm is expected to unveil the Galaxy S6.
The invite appears to confirm the rumours that the new flagship smartphone will have a curved display similar to that on the Note Edge.
The other big change in the new device is to be found under the hood, where it is expected that Samsung’s own chips will be used as opposed to the Qualcomm ones that have featured in previous models. This is supposedly due to overheating that Samsung noticed during testing.
The latest financial figures from the Korean firm showed their first annual profit drop in three years, meaning that a fair amount of pressure has been heaped on the next Galaxy S model given its status as the flagship smartphone for Samsung.
The profit drop followed a lukewarm reception for the Galaxy S5 last year, and an aggressive Apple who gained market share from Samsung in China, most notably.

This is based on reports that Samsung filed a patent for such a design.
