Gifx For iPhone Lets You Add GIF Animations To Your Photos And Videos

Wednesday, 14 January 2015

Want to add some quick GIF-like animations to your photos or videos using your iPhone? Gifx by DNA Apps LLC is one of the easiest apps you will come across to do just that. More details and download link can be found right after the break.
GIFs have been around for over two decades now, and have considerably evolved over that time during which the format was even considered obsolete. However, seldom will you come across pages on the Internet that are not carrying GIF elements. Making a resurgence into our world, apps have begun popping up like crazy on our mobile phones for creating GIFs on the go.

Gifx for iOS has been tasked by the developers to accomplish a very simple mission and to not deviate from it; that is to add some flamboyance to your photos and videos by giving you access to over two hundred GIF effects to animate your shootings with. So if you thought this was your feature rich GIF maker, you want to look somewhere else, since Gifx is more of a quick action trigger to animate your photos or videos.

That said, with a bit of practice, there are some tweaks users can tinker with to get the right effects on their photos and videos. For example, users can add multiple layers of animations and play around with their opacity levels for a desired result for any photo or video you happen to be editing. There’s effect re-sizing, and over 75 masks to try out as well. The app itself comes bundled with a load of images to help you get right into some customizations. Once you are done with your creation, you can share the photo or video with your friends via popular social media apps such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Vine, and more.

Gifx is a free app, but there are plenty of options that are locked. These unfortunately, can only be unlocked via in-app purchases. Some options may even feel like an essential part of the app which should have been there by default. So much for a free lunch eh?
Gifx requires iOS 6.1 and above to run, and is compatible with both the iPhone, and the iPad.
